Rococo Reimagined is a contemporary exploration of femininity, intellect, and ornamentation, inspired by the delicate elegance and whimsical charm of the Rococo era. This body of work draws from a historical moment where art moved away from the formal grandeur of the Baroque, embracing instead a softer, more playful sensibility.
At the heart of this period was the rise of salons—intimate gatherings often hosted by aristocratic women who cultivated spaces of cultural and intellectual exchange. These women were not only muses but active participants in shaping the discourse and taste of the Rococo era. Through this photo series, I aim to honor their grace, power, and influence. By highlighting piercing embellishments on the muse, I reinterpret Rococo aesthetics through a modern, self-expressive lens, simultaneously creating space to honor the women of today. Rococo Reimagined becomes both a canvas and subject—adorned, empowered, and unapologetically ornate, collapsing the boundaries between past and present, tradition and rebellion, elegance and edge.
