Florence Kahuhu
Florence “Flo” Kahuhu is a Nairobi-born writer, actor, and dancer in the final year of her graduate Writing program. A natural storyteller fluent in three languages, Flo explores narratives through fiction, non-fiction, food, and music. Her creative passions extend beyond the page—she’s equally at home on stage and in the studio. When she’s not writing or performing, you’ll find her buried in a book, binge-watching anime, hitting the gym, or chasing spontaneous adventures.
Kate Mann
Kate Mann is a senior Illustration major with a minor in Graphic Design. Born and raised in the Turks and Caicos Islands, she’s a lover of travel and a good beach day. She enjoys traditional mediums like acrylic but experiments with digital illustration at SCAD. If she’s not drawing or traveling, you’ll find her baking or binge-watching TV.
Jordan Yates
Jordan Yates is a senior Photography major, minoring in Art History. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Jordan developed a love for traveling and exploring digital mediums before moving south to pursue his higher education. Through his camera lens, he explores connections between people, places, and culture over time.
Lia Lee
Lia Lee is a graduate Motion Media Designer from Virginia. Steeped in multimedia influences and a cross-cultural upbringing, Lia enjoys blending different mediums such as photography, fine arts, animation and music together to create compelling story narratives that inspire and spread hope. In her free time she enjoys logic games and psychology books.
Maya Pegues
Maya Pegues is a first-year Motion Media graduate student. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Maya completed her undergraduate degree in Painting at SCAD in 2022. As an artist, she specializes in multimedia, enjoying a wide range of media to work with. In her free time, Maya loves doing arts and crafts, reading, and spending time with her cat, Varjack.
Kelly Quintana
Kelly Quintana is a Mexican-American writer in her first year of her graduate Writing program. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Kelly developed a love for exploring and understanding different cultures. In her free time, she loves reading fantasy and sci-fi, as well as watching horror, cheesy romance movies, and TV shows.
Essence Quigley
Essence Quigley is a senior Animation major and Illustration minor. She enjoys video games, painting, and watching anime. Originally from Texas, Essence is a big political nerd and extremely passionate about telling stories that inspire a more progressive future.
Clare Seymour
Clare Seymour is a Motion Designer in her final year of her MFA graduate program. Born in Atlanta and raised on the Georgia coast, she completed her undergraduate at Georgia Tech before starting at SCAD. As a creative, Clare enjoys blurring the line between analog and digital mediums. Though her one true love has always been writing. Outside of academics, she loves hiking, soccer, and spending time with all her pets.
Athena Overmars
Athena Overmars is a BFA Acting student with a minor in Casting. She is incredibly passionate about all aspects of performance, both onstage and behind the scenes. In addition to acting, Athena is a singer, writer, director, and intern at the SCAD Atlanta Casting Office. When she’s not on set, she enjoys movie nights with friends and getting lost in a good book.
Ameill Brown
Ameill Brown is a first-year Acting major, minoring in Writing. Despite being raised in Grantville, Georgia, she has quickly grown to love city life. In her free time, she enjoys singing musical numbers, performing in films, exploring local museums, and relaxing in cafes with friends.
